Who we are

AfterClose is operated by AfterClose LLC, a California company. AfterClose helps real estate agents and other professionals stay in touch with their past clients through AI-drafted follow-ups that the agent reviews and sends from their own inbox.

What we collect

Account information you give us

Your name, email address, and phone number, plus a password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider, and we never see them in plain text.

Client data you import

The past-client contacts you upload, which can include names, emails, phone numbers, property details, and personal notes such as family, pets, and interests. This is data about your clients that you choose to bring into AfterClose.

Usage data

Basic information about how you use the app, so we can keep it working and improve it.

Payment information

Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store your card numbers.

How we use it

To provide the service and keep your account running.
To generate personalized follow-up drafts that you review and approve.
To send emails you have approved, from your own connected inbox.
To provide support and answer your questions.
To handle billing and manage your subscription.

Who we share it with

We use a small set of trusted service providers (subprocessors) to run AfterClose. Each one only receives the data it needs for its specific job:

Supabase, for database and authentication hosting (where your account and client data live).
Stripe, for payment processing.
Anthropic, the AI that drafts your follow-ups. The relevant client context is sent so a draft can be generated.
Resend, for transactional emails such as sign-in links and receipts.
Google, for Gmail sending via OAuth using the gmail.send scope only, which lets us send a message as you but does not let us read your mailbox.
Netlify, for website and application hosting.

We do not sell your data or your clients' data. We do not share it for third-party advertising.

Our role and yours

You control your client data. You are the controller of that data, and AfterClose processes it on your behalf to provide the service. You can export your client data or delete it at any time.

Google API disclosure

AfterClose's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We request only the gmail.send scope. This scope is used solely to send messages that you, the agent, have reviewed and approved, from your own Google account. We do not read, store, or otherwise access your mailbox, and we do not use Gmail data for any other purpose.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, row-level database isolation so each agent only sees their own data, and access controls that limit who can reach it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. We delete it on your request, or after your account is closed.

Your rights

You can request access to your data, ask us to correct it, export it, or delete it. To exercise any of these rights, email al@afterclosehq.com.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

AfterClose is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the changes here and update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page.
